Texas Foster Youth Justice Project
Free legal help for youth who have experienced foster care.  Helping youth to understand their legal rights by providing legal advice, assistance, guidance and representation in enforcing foster youth rights. They also educate the general public about the legal needs and concerns of youth in foster care.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
WIC provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk. Family Unification Program (FUP)
Program where Housing Choice Vouchers (HCVs) are provided to youths at least 18 years old and not more than 21 years old who left foster care at age 16 or older and who lack adequate housing. In addition to rental assistance, supportive services must be provided to FUP youths by the PCWA for the entire 18 months in which the youth participates in the program; examples of the skills targeted by these services include money management skills, job preparation, educational counseling, and proper nutrition and meal preparation.

Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA)
Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) owns and operates 1,929 units of conventional public housing in 19 developments throughout Austin. Development sites range from high-rise apartments on Lady Bird Lake to small duplexes in residential neighborhoods. HACA also manages the Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 Program that provides rental vouchers for more than 5,000 units of housing in Austin’s private rental market.
